This large tome contains exquisite photogravure by Walter Bachinski, and its text is very elegantly laid out on the roomy pages. The binding attempts to capture a feeling of summer and a verdant fertility. The ends are mono-printed from individual leaves on tissue, cut and pasted together. The bradel construction and a separate spine and boards lends very easily to interpretation of a winged insect, but the black tooling gives a slightly indirect or abstraction of a veined-wing with spots of turquoise and gold.
